Have a look at this project of mine for my new bookcase-desktop space.
The idea is to exploit a space between two walls in the living room to create a desktop for my future iMac and stories of shelves to contain books and electronic equipments such as an Xbox360, a BD player, an HD video projector and so on. In this way I can have an open space facing the living room with full functionality and a minimal yet pleasant aesthetic impact.
